Our Story

Shirley Qin, the founder of Semiforêt, comes from a family of industry-leading custom painters, with clients ranging from Fortune 500 industrial giants to ship component manufacturers, etc. 

Shirley grew up with a global perspective, with cultural backgrounds and life philosophies from China, North America, and Europe. She has different cultural backgrounds and life concepts from China, North America and Europe.

In September 2013, after seeing the seamless atmosphere of microcement floor and wall for the first time, she decided to have a micro-cement home. 

However, when she started to choose the materials for the renovation, she realized that the microcement in the market was either too industrial without the preferred result, or needed very careful care when using it, otherwise it would become dirty and not durable in a few months. 

After searching around the world and failing to find a satisfactory microcement brand, Shirley decided to rely on her family's globalized supply chain capabilities in the paint industry, and together with the technical co-founder from a German chemical company.

After more than five years of research and development and iteration, she established "Semiforêt", a professional microcement brand with a youthful, sophisticated and durable style for the world's microcement lovers.
