Microcement Floors
Seamless microcement flooring for Singapore homes and selected commercial interiors, combining a continuous mineral appearance with a structured multi-layer application system.
One Surface.
A Quieter Space.
Microcement transforms the floor from a repeated pattern into a continuous architectural surface.
Semiforêt flooring is applied as a multi-layer system over a suitable prepared substrate. The finished appearance combines subtle tonal movement, hand-applied texture and a continuous mineral character.
Less Visual
Interruption.
Without a conventional grid of tile joints, microcement can create a calmer visual transition between living, dining, circulation and selected adjoining spaces.
Material,
Not Pattern.
The visual character comes from the material itself rather than printed repetition. Each finished surface carries subtle variation created during application.
Continuous Appearance
A visually uninterrupted floor can create calmer transitions between adjoining residential spaces.
Renovation Potential
Stable existing tiled surfaces may sometimes be considered for overlay, subject to substrate inspection and preparation.
Mineral Character
Fine tonal movement and controlled trowel texture create depth without relying on conventional decorative patterns.
What Lies
Beneath Matters.
Microcement performance depends on more than the visible finish. Assessment, preparation, layered application and protection form part of the complete flooring system.
Substrate Assessment
Existing surface condition, cracks, hollowness and visible movement are reviewed before application.
Preparation & Base
Primer, reinforcement where required and base preparation establish the working surface.
Decorative Microcement
Controlled decorative layers create the selected tone, movement and surface character.
Resistant Layer
An intermediate resistant layer supports the final protection system.
Protective Coating
The final two-component coating completes the specified protective finish before curing.
Tested,
Not Assumed.
Selected available third-party laboratory results for Semiforêt Standard Microcement. Results relate to tested samples and should be interpreted together with system build-up, substrate, workmanship and curing conditions.
Values above summarize available third-party test reports for tested samples. They are not a standalone guarantee of performance under every project condition. Original signed reports govern formal verification.
The Surface
Needs Time.
Allow at least 72 hours after final coating before normal walking on the completed surface.
Allow seven days before moving furniture or cleaning the surface with water.
Actual project timing remains subject to site conditions and the applicable Semiforêt method statement.
Microcement
Flooring FAQ.
Is microcement flooring seamless?
Microcement is applied as a continuous surface and can create a visually seamless appearance without the repeated grid normally associated with tiles. Project-specific architectural or structural joints may still need to be respected.
Is microcement suitable for HDB flooring?
Microcement can be considered for selected HDB renovation projects. Suitability depends on the existing substrate, renovation scope and site conditions.
Can microcement cover existing tiles?
Stable existing tiles may sometimes be suitable for an overlay approach. Tile adhesion, hollow areas, cracks and movement should be assessed before application.
Will microcement crack?
Crack risk is closely related to the underlying substrate, structural movement, preparation, installation and curing. Existing defects should therefore be assessed before application.
How thick is a microcement floor?
Semiforêt microcement applications are generally thin-layer surface systems. Final build-up depends on substrate condition and the specified project system.
How long does microcement flooring take?
Project duration varies according to floor area, substrate preparation and site conditions. The installation itself also requires appropriate curing time before normal use.
How much does microcement flooring cost in Singapore?
Pricing depends on project area, substrate condition, preparation requirements, detailing and overall scope. A floor plan and current site photos allow the team to provide a more useful initial assessment.
